Coach Out of Water is a personal and professional development platform designed to complement and enhance the current certification delivered by the NGB. Our courses cover many topics and enable coaches to expand their knowledge and expertise. They also expose them to the bountiful research, knowledge, and shared expertise from coaches across the globe.
Our mission had been to make this array of knowledge and advisory support more accessible. During the Covid lockdowns, many of us had additional time on our hands to step back from our regular working schedules and reflect upon what existing support for coaches was available. The most impactful resources on offer were the shared experiences of other coaches. As community discussions and workshops were taking place using new technology, we had time to develop something new ourselves.
Recognising how disconnected we had become and acknowledging this new wave of coach connectivity, we quickly realised the opportunity for a learning platform that explores the art, science and craft to continue access to the shared experiences we had during Covid.
